If you havent visited Lake Toba, you will not be informed of the history of the world.
Around 78,000 years ago, the was a tectonic eruption causing the whole world was dark and population left alive all over the world was around 150,000 persons. Now the world population reaches almost 9 billion.
The eruption caused the formation of Lake Toba. The lake is 150 km long, 30.km wide and 600 m in depth.
Within Lake Toba there is an Island, called Samosir Island, and on the island there is a lake called Tao Sidihoni.
The volcanic eruption caused the formation of Bukit Barisan or Serial Hills.
Around Lake Toba is Serial Hilss.
On of the icon of the hills is Bukit Cinta or Lovely Hill in Holbung, in Harianboho Subdistrict, Samosir Regency, North Sumatra.
It is a cute , beautifull hill on.which you enjoy camping, facing Lake Toba around.
It is very attractive for a prewedding site on top of the hill. Make sure you know how to match the colour of your dress to match the blue lake and the cloud in.the sky and the green hill. Suggest you wear white or red colour to make a good contrast to make an.eye catching of your photos on the hill.
The hill is only 5 minutes from Sibeabea bill on.which you can enjoy a 360 degress view of Harianboho, Sihotang, Samosir Island, Mount Pusuk Buhit, claimed as the origin of the many Batak etnic having singing talents. Among the songs are: Asingsing so, promoted by China in their country as a world song. There are so mant talents with Batak.
In Sibeabea hill, on.the top of the hill is erected the tallest Jesus Statue in.the world.
So this Jesus Statute built by uncle Sudung Situmorang, is the most attractive site for relgious tourist destination. You dont have to go ro Brazil . We have the best in Harianboho, Sibeabea.
You can drive to Sibeabea either by big bus or vehicle. But you can also go by small vessel from Pangururan Waterfront City. It takes 20 minutes. The fare is Rp 20,000 or eq USD 1,4.
Dont forget also to visit Efrata Waterfall.
If you like water sport or canoeing, best location is from Harianboho. You can canoe from Harianboho through Tanoponggol canal then to Hotspring in Pangururan and continue to Sipisopiso beach. Sipisopiso is known as Sipaulak Hosa,meaning that when you take the water for washing face, or if you drink it, you will get fortune and recover from ilness.
When you want to trace the history of the world, you need to visit Lake Toba. Thus in addition to enjoy the beauty of Lake Toba, you will be back to the history of the world.

You can see Huta Siallagan, with the historic adjudication stones.
To reach Harianboho ,it will be entertaining if you drive from Kualanamu down to Kabanjahe . Its a very beautifull view and fresh healing. Then go to Sidikalang. From Sidikalang to Sibeabea and Holbung it takes only 35 minutes. From Tele down to Panatapan Tower, the most beautiful site for selfy, you can drive to Efrata water fall. It takes 7 minutes. From Efrata to Sibeabea takes 15 to 20.minutes. from Sibeabea with its beautifull Jesus Statute takes 5 minutes.
There are many sites see in Samosir. From Tele, if you turn left in Gonting( Junction), you can visit Pansur si 7 day or a water fountain contains 7 tates of water . Take the water for your healing.
5 minutes from This 7 Tastes, if you take left after the bridge, you can arrive in Limbong. Then to Batuhobon, a big stone within which a gold with the size of Horse is kept but no one could open the cover. Even the Dutch had tried to granade it but to no success. It says that the gold inside the stone can only be opened when all the generation of Silauraja are united
From Batuhobon you can go to Sianjurmula mula, the origin of the Batak Ethnic siusted in the the.slope of Pusuk Buhit.
Then you will reach Hotspring. Take bathing there and enjoy coffee and lampet batak( original batak cake) and Natinompur. This is bake fish with the local.herbs that is called Andaliman which you.will.make your tongue dancing and feel Heaven on Earth.
From this you can drive to Tanopomggol. You can go to Sidihoni Lake on.the Samosir Island.
If you drive in group you can stay there and cook your meals ..the local people will.provide utensil, rice, fish, chicken at a very price.
Depending on how many days you have time to visit Samosir, it has at least 30 sites to see.
Dont forget anyway to.enjoy Sigalegale Dance, made of wood, picture of a King who wanted to have a son. So he decorate woods and make it.the size of a man whom the King loved as he had no son.
Do not forget also that the Batak Etnic are song lovers with beautifull voice. The Indonesian Idol are many from the Batak.
Popular drink: Tuak Takkasan. This is fermented palm tree juice. When the juicer sings beautiful song for the palm tree the tree will lament and drop its tears. It becomes Tuak Takkasan. Alcohol.content of the Tuak.may be above 5% upto 10%.
