Wonderfull Jesus Statute in Sibeabea Hill
Sibeabea, is a hill in Harianboho District.
You can reach Sibeabea from New York or Singapore by airplane to Silangit International Air Port. Or you can go in a group by Big Tourism Bus like Hiba down from Silangit or from Kualanamu Airport.
You can also go via Parapat, then go by Ferry to Simanindo.
From Silangit, drive to Tele. At your left side of the road is TPL’s eucalyptus estate. The owner of TPL is known as Tanoto. If your land has been included into TPL’s estate, dont expect that you will get it back.
Once you reach Tele, on the Plateau, it is a scienic selfy area from where you can see wonderfully the beauty of Lake Toba and Jesus Statute in the Hill facing Lake Toba.
Why the Statue is built facing Lake Toba and Samosir instead of facing TPL estate?
It is not without reason. It is intended and hoped that Jesus will bless the people of Toba and Samosir.
In Tele, whilst enjoying your coffee and Lampet Bulung( cake wraped in palm like leaves) in which sugar and coconut bake has been made inside the Lappet, you can also take photo of your handsome body with position Mount Pusuk Buhit, being the origin of the Batak. So if you are a Batakness, you should have visited Pusuk Buhit. From Tele, when you have sipped your coffee you can drive down to Harianboho. Around 1 km down the rest area you can turn right to reach Efrata Water Fall.
But alternatively, you can drive on the winding road down the Hill to the Junction called Gonting. If you take left you will reach Pangururan. But if you turn right, it is the road to Jesus Statue in Sibeabea . It takes around 15 minutes .
When you reach Sibeabea, it is a wonderfull site for selfy . You can also drive in.the artistic winding road to.the edge of Sibeabea. The winding road is an art . From Jesus Statue, you can video 360 degress . You will have an Unforgettable View of our Village and the Beauty of Jesus Statue on the artistic peninsula.
In Harianboho, you can visit also arts shop of Sitohang where you can buy or train with the Batak’s High Quality and Harnonius Music when it is performed. Even if you are unable to play what is called ” Sarune Etek” or small woden made syrene or Seruling Sang Raja ( the flute by the King of bamvo Flute like Togi, Korem ( and offcourse also.the writer) do not be ashame. You still can participate as the ” Hesek Player” without which the harnony of the Batak’s uning uningan art wont be perpect in line with the melody from the flute. Just take a bottle and a spoon, then you can play Hesek to harnonize the rythim, but make sure you follow the” urdot” or the ritme of the feet as well.
